We are delighted to welcome entertaining speaker Simon Whitehouse for a return visit.
Cost to be confirmed but will include tea/coffee and pastries on arrival, two talks and a buffet lunch.
Event is 10am – 2pm, with the first talk at 10.30 and lunch at 1pm after second talk.
Simon will present two talks about the Covent Garden area of London in Georgian times. Hogarth and Harlots – the ‘low lives’ and vice industry of the area as depicted by Hogarth and others. Punch, Pygmalion and Puccini – Covent Garden as a place of entertainment with theatres, street performers and famous stars of the stage.
